About Me

Here's My Story

Hello! Thank you for checking out my work!

I am a 24-year-old 3D artist, fine artist, and designer. I am currently based in New York City and just earned my MFA in Computer Art focusing in all aspects of 3D animation and VFX from the School of Visual Arts. On a full ride art scholarship, I received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2012 and I also have a huge passion for fine arts as well. I am originally from Chicagoland and spent over a year of my life traveling and studying art around Australia and Europe.

. . . . .

The most inspirational time in my life was when I traveled around the world for 14 months during my undergraduate career. I backpacked for over 100 days throughout Europe and Australia, exploring 17 countries, over 100 cities and met some of the most amazing people. While in Australia, I discovered my passion for the 3D world; as soon as I graduated from UIUC, I was on a plane to one of the top schools in the world for this career path, SVA. I love what I do and am only excited for the future.

The other very influential part of my life occurred during high school. Being an athlete my whole life, I was very active achieving a black belt in tae kwon do, being a varsity cheerleader, and competing gymnastics for most of my life. When I was 15 I broke my back at a gymnastics practice, and after a very hard recovery I was back in the gym. I had many injuries during my time that I overcame, but everything in my life changed in September 2006; I was in a career ending neck injury that has since required 10 back procedures for recovery. This accident turned my life upside down for years and is the biggest hardship I have ever dealt with, but today I can say I view it as a positive event. For physical therapy, I started taking art classes and discovered what I would do with the rest of my life, then becoming completely immersed in the arts. This event has completely shaped my character and I live life not afraid to go big and shoot for anything. I take pride that I thrive on opportunity and that I can keep my motivation level high, taking positivity out of any hard situation.
